The Avro Vulcan is a British jet-engine strategic bomber operated by the Royal Air Force from 1956 until 1984. Of the 134 production Vulcans built, 19 survive today. None are airworthy, although three (XH558, XL426 and XM655) are in taxiable condition. All but four survivors are located in the United Kingdom.

Apr 19, 2023 · AFAIK the Vulcan was not deployed to the UK so it is a little surprising still for a US museum to have one given it's probably not a major draw to the casual aviation fan. That said it is pretty cool to see one out in the US.

Visited the SAC Aerospace Museum near Omaha Nebraska today. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby! Shocked to see a B-52 and the Vulcan and a B-58 all under roof! And a B-36! Must be quite the place! It’s an awesome museum, they have a b-29 also.
