Sep 11, 2011 · You can get a n54 to match the power of the s85 easily. Oh yeah and the s85 can never come near to the n54s low end torque. Top speed and sound are advantages but its just not worth it bro.

Jan 17, 2024 · I have heard that's entirely possible to run the S85 with the MSS60 which already has tables and stuff for the DCT integration. If that's true you could likely get an S85 running in an E9x with all OEM electronics.

May 8, 2019 · For my next project car I'm planning to do a S85 V10 swap into an E92 M3 with the DCT gearbox. There seem to have been a few breakthroughs in the both S85 engine management and the DCT controlling, so this seems like a good time for the project .
