Sep 22, 2010 · and traded it straight across for the S&W SIGMA SW40F. I already own a S&W M&P 9(fs), and the S&W M&P 45C. Obviously love them both. I had been looking at the SIGMA for a while.. and of course read the reviews both supporting it and downing it. To me it looks and feels like a good gun. IMHO it is S&W's version of the GLOCK. but with a better grip!

Nov 29, 2024 · You know S&W will at times offer rebates or other incentives to buy one of their products. When I was looking at AR15’s, S&W was offering a Sigma pistol as the incentive. I bought the rifle but wasn’t that interested in the pistol, so the day after my purchase, I traded the Sigma for something I wanted more (can’t remember what) at the time.

May 4, 2021 · The SD9VE is a Gen 4 Sigma whereas the SW9VE is a Gen 3, one of the major improvements of the 4th Generation Sigma was an improved trigger arrangement which reduced the weight of the trigger pull substantially by roughly 4lbs. Furthermore, the 4th Generation Sigmas triggers have a greater margin for improvement with aftermarket modifications.

Dec 8, 2009 · The SIGMA rail is proprietary and it never caught on. You will have to either use a light for the SIGMA (Insight M4, if you can find one), or get a rail adapter to change the S&W SIGMA to a weaver or picatinny type, then you can use a light designed for it. The Picatinny rail has wider cross slots and the Weaver type has narrower cross slots.

Mar 26, 2010 · I installed a set of Ameri-glo night sights on my S&W 40F. The sights were old and the company no longer makes them for the Sigma, just Glocks. The front sight removal was no problem - I just turned the slide over and pushed the front sight out with a punch.
