.380 showdown: S&W Bodyguard vs Ruger LCP
May 12, 2013 · WTT: S&W BG 380 for Ruger LCP. Great condition; been back to the factory 3 times so surely it's fixed now. Laser works great when in total darkness but target is still visible (haven't come across that situation yet but I'm sure it's very common). Will throw in the three additional mags that S&W has sent me as compensation for my trouble.
LCP - clarification of different generations/models - Ruger Pistol …
Jan 18, 2017 · LCP stands for "Lightweight Compact Pistol". Sometimes affectionately referred to as "Elsie Pea". There seems to be some confusion regarding the various generations of the LCP. I still see people on this, and other forums referring to the Gen 2, when they really mean the LCP II, or vice versa. *...
LCP seems stiff to rack - Ruger Pistol Forums
Jun 29, 2011 · I have a new LCP and due to medical circumstances I've been able to fire it other that to dry fire it. Will it loosen up as I put some rounds through it? It is very stiff to rack.
Ruger LCP II .22lr Report - Northeastshooters.com Forums
Jan 4, 2010 · So I finally got a chance to go to the range with my new Ruger LCP II .22lr. I became interested in it because of the ammo shortage, thought searching for 22 would be less expensive than the larger calibers. The gun itself is only the size of a S&W BG380, and it comes with a decent pocket...
Is the LCP actually DA? - Ruger Pistol Forums
Jun 6, 2009 · Is the LCP actually double action? Every other DA pistol I have will dry fire continually without having to rack the slide. I have to move the slide to "cock" it to some degree after each trigger pull. That doesn't fit my understanding of …
LCP's made in Mayodan, NC vs. Prescott, AZ - Ruger Pistol Forums
Apr 14, 2017 · I know I'm replying YEARS late on this, but I bought an LCP 2 today, and didn't even look it over, just assumed it's another awesome Az. Ruger. I was wrong. This one was made in Mayoden,NC,and it won't feed fmj or jhp,as well as ejecting roughly,if at all. I think this one's heading back to the plant.
What is the Life Expectancy of an LCP? | Ruger Pistol Forums
Jul 12, 2010 · Anybody have any hard facts (or really good educated guesses) on what the life expectance should be for the LCP? Some run a few hundred rounds thru and call it enough, others run many more. (I seem to remember hearing about one at a range that had 15-20K run thru it). Personally, I'm hoping...

Should I buy an LCP (too much recoil?) | Ruger Pistol Forums
Oct 24, 2008 · I own a Beretta 92 (9mm) and I can handle that. I would love to buy an LCP, but I would really feel stupid if sold it a week after I purchased it because it was too painful and wasn't fun to shoot. Do you think I would find the recoil of the LCP painful / too much? Thanks!
Is the slide supposed to be this hard to pull back? - Ruger Pistol …
Mar 20, 2009 · Yes, the slide is not easy to pull back. I would surmise that Ruger detected a problem with the one slide spring being too light and then installed two springs on our recalled LCP thus making it harder to pull back.
