Rouvas Wood and Gorge (Δάσος και Φαράγγι Ρουβά) The course takes place, perhaps in the most important gorge of Mt. Psiloritis. It starts from Votomos or Zaros Lake and ends at Ai-Yiannis in Rouva.

The Rouvas Gorge is situated north of the village Zaros, south-east of the Ida Mountains. There is a clear trail from the Votamos Lake (420m) trough the gorge towards the chapel of Agios Ioannis (950m). It is a steep climb but pleasant since most of the route goes through shady woodland.
