Ron Raines (born December 2, 1949) is an American actor. He is known for the role of Alan Spaulding on the television soap opera Guiding Light. Raines also performs in musical theatre and in concert with symphony orchestras.

Ron Raines was born on 2 December 1949 in Texas City, Texas, USA. He is an actor, known for Guiding Light (1952), Person of Interest (2011) and The Blacklist (2013). He has been married to Dona D. Vaughn since 1986.

Ron E. Rains is best known for his role as Peter K. Rosenthal, head film critic for The Onion's Film Standard. Ron is from Sacramento, CA and has lived in Chicago since 1998. He's a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts' conservatory with a BFA in Acting with an emphasis on Music.
