Richard F. H. Polt (born 1964) is an American professor of philosophy at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has written about and translated works by Martin Heidegger . He and Gregory Fried edit the Rowman & Littlefield book series New Heidegger Research.

Richard Polt holds a B.A. in philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago (1991). His interests include German and Greek philosophy.
