Good day everyone, I am just wondering, Is it okay to give a 9 month old baby Ribena ? (She will be 10 months on the 2nd of June). She presently eats cereal and Nan baby formula.

i wouldnt suggest ribena, but if you look where all the baby foods are they do sell baby juice. i would just dilute it. you can dilute orange juice but be prepared for a yucky nappy! as it helps consipated babies

Feb 20, 2014 · Personally I would recommend plain water because once children get a taste for sweeter drinks whether it be baby juice or ribena it's very hard to persuade then to drink plain water again (and baby juice is made from fruit juice which naturally contains some sugar).

May 12, 2006 · It does seen strange though, that it is the only drink I have come across which says not suitable for under threes, yet lots of other ones have sweeteners, and if it's the teeth thing don't they say the ribena light (wasn't it called toothkind) is as harmless as water.

Please, do not give Ribena. it is not advisable to introduce sugary drink to your baby and if you must, it shouldn't be introduced until your baby is a year old.

Even natural fruit juice is not recommended for babies. At this age, milk and water + solid food:) Not recommended as it’s too sweet (high in sugar) for LO at such young age.. I didn't give my baby cos it's sugar level high. Ribena is particularly high in sugar. Ok sure so I shouldn't be giving now.. coz i was told tt I can start giving now.

Feb 20, 2014 · Sorry haven't read the other posts but....no, no, no never should a baby have Ribena. It specifically says on the pack that it's not suitable for children under 3. As for affecting the teeth - they don't need to be in to be attacked by sugar, it lines the mouth so just as those precious little pearly whites are emerging they are being assaulted ...
