Mar 11, 2016 · Another option that is survival-friendly (if you don't have access to commands) would be to just drop a bucket of water and pick it back up, then move and put it down nearby, etc. It covers a decent area and clears grass for you. It also clears torches or tracks or redstone stuff though, but it's still useful sometimes.

When I ran the picture to adjust the picture quality, I found that each time the grass level is adjusted, there will be a loading time of about 10s (still ssd). The effect is very obvious on a map like Godrock.

Dec 21, 2023 · They mentioned in the patch notes that they were disabling various console commands used to gain visual advantage over others. Disabling grass makes sense in that context. However, I play single player, and it was quite helpful for doing things like putting down fence foundations. And of course, I'm sure some were disabling it for performance reasons.
