The new Blackhawk flattops have the new XR3 grip frames on them, but remember these are the flattop guns.

Mar 24, 2018 · It should have an XR3-RED grip frame so current model Blackhawk, Single-Six, or Wrangler grips will fit. Authentic grips for your gun will have a "SR" grip medallion on walnut grip panels, whereas the newer BHs have a "R" grip medallion.

Mar 24, 2017 · What are the differences between these grip frames? The "N" indicates stainless steel. The XR-3 is the original profile, nearly matches the grip of a Colt Single Action. The XR-3RED is the current grip frame profile for Blackhawk series revolver. Either grip frame can be steel or aluminum alloy, except the stainless, of course.
