The only reason I prefer to the RC73 to the RC66RX is I like to watch sports plays played back in slow motion. That feature works great on the RC73 and it worked terribly poorly (jumps sometimes huge amounts) on the RC66RX. Otherwise, I like the RC66RX better...

Jul 8, 2012 · the red button will also pull up the score guide on select channels (espn, etc). it'll pop up within 30s of changing the channel with a message that says "(red button) Scoreguide". if your genie is connected to the internet you can just press the right arrow on any channel to pull up the apps, and the scoreguide will be there too.

May 9, 2017 · I'm a Dish Network guy and have been for close to 20 years. But my 70-year-old parents just got DirectTV. The system they got has a Genie RC73 remote. The installer programmed it to work with their Sony TV. All of that is fine. However, they have an older Pioneer receiver (model VSX-455) that they have always used to control the volume.

Apr 29, 2016 · For around 9 months I was able to program the TV and sound bar on the Remote so I could turn all 3 devices on and off, and control the sound bar volume with the RC73 in RF mode. Now, the remote only turns on the HR44 and the TV. I have to turn on the sound bar with the Sony remote. Once it is on, I can still control the volume with the RC73.

May 8, 2015 · I have a RC73 remote which I cannot seem to switch to RF mode for our downstairs DVR. We have a HR24-200 in the living room and whenever I follow the prompts to change from IR to RF mode, the remote seems to go through the motions but will not control the DVR at all. The remote upstairs we use with the Genie (HR44-500) works great.

When I bought my Sony television, I programmed its remote to control HR54 recording/playback/guide access/channel entry as well as the television. Lazy me decided I'd like an additional Sony remote as well.

Dec 11, 2015 · RC73 remote is very responsive; I have it set to RF. Only problem is that our HR22 is still hooked-up because the wife wants to watch recordings she had programmed earlier. Any commands sent by the RC73 controls both the HR22 & HR54.
