II was happy with their work, especially after spending hours to trying to restore the oxidized paint myself. I figured that that part of the job was about 10% of the entire RV.. Go figure. Jul 23, 2021 · I'm done dealing with oxidation and the color scheme is quite odd anyway. It is worth $50,000, maybe a bit more. I'd rather have $60,000 invested in an RV I love rather than this one I try to love. $10,000 is pretty close to my limit. Mass is a sales tax state so trading would cost me $4,000 just in sales tax.

Apr 30, 2013 · If you decide to replace you will have to do whole sections to make it match. There is special RV siding that is available at RV supply stores and should be used. But make sure you won't have to paint that also, or plan to do the whole thing. I would price the siding replacement costs and you might fall in love with painting it.

Nov 22, 2024 · There was a difference in price. The valspar cost me $55/gallon and was less than worthless. The benjamin moore cost me $35/gal and went on without any issues. You arent just paying for the name. Benjamin moore is far better than any other brand. Sherwin williams is better than most but not benjamin moore.

Sep 7, 2011 · The rv door's fiberglass is showing through, do you think a good sanding and priming will suffice? Any thoughts. I live out in the boondocks and my plan is to lay down a thick visqueen plastic (after sanding/prep) park rv on it then build a makeshift frame around it and cover with visqueen plastic . Make a couple of holes with exhaust fans.

Sep 28, 2009 · Both suffer from the same aging factors and need repainting. They would have indoor space large enough to work on a RV. Painting opens up a lot of color change options, or just put clearcoat over the whole thing. Either would put the shine back. It will not be cheap and probably would exceed the current value of the RV.

Sep 2, 2021 · Mask and prep is 90% of the work, you might as well peel the crappy decals off if you're going to go through all of that. Mine are soundly in that category and the longer I think about it the most cost effective and time efficient solution is to peel the old ones off, then find a set of decals I like and paste them on.
