Ishapore 2A1 1967 - milsurps.com
Apr 1, 2010 · As the thread title says, I have an Ishapore 2A1 RFI from 1967 in very nice condition, all matching numbers including the bolt. Thinking I was ahead of the game with about 100 rounds of US 7.62 Special Ball M118 ratholed away before the purchase, I made the Ishy purchase only now to see that it looks like this round with the 173 grain bullet ...

The Ishapore SMLE History

RFI No. 4 T rifle? - milsurps.com
Jul 5, 2016 · Hello Guys, picked up my second RFI marked No. 4 T rifle this weekend. They both are within 100 digits to each other and also both have a "A 0xx T" (would the T suffix mean sniper?) serial number and date 1962. Does anyone know whether the Indians used original No. 4 actions where they scrubbed the markings, or did they manufacture them newly?
RFI No4 Mk1/2 (T) sniper - milsurps.com
Aug 2, 2014 · Is my assessment of the rifle's history correct, and is there anything else anyone can tell me about it? The original left-side socket markings were scrubbed off, and the right side is marked FR / 1962 / RFI. All the parts are matching (including the mag), with what I assume is a new Indian serial number (A0295T).

Brass Marking Disk for SMLE #1 Mk III - milsurps.com
Apr 27, 2011 · Yep. The RFI stands for Rifle (Royal) Factory Ishapore. It looks like it was commissioned in February 1914 (Marking 2 14). The 119 T is probably an indian regiment marking. It's an Indian regiment's rifle for sure. Any other makings on the rifle (butt, butt socket, butt plate etc.)? Any pics of the rifle? Steve
