While the R91CP was a highly developed variation of the Nissan-Lola Group C chassis designed by NISMO and Yoshi Suzuka (car #23, a Nissan R91CP, went on to win at Daytona in 1992), the R91CK was simply a mildly modified R90CK. The From-A Nissan R91CK went on to finish 8th overall while fraught with a myriad of problems.

During qualifying Mark Blundell set an incredible pole time of 3:27.020 in one of the R90CKs. The car 'suffered' from a stuck wastegaste, which boosted the power to a startling 1100 bhp. The cars were quick during the race as well, setting the fastest lap of 3:40.030.
