The cost of conversion done properly and drop in efficiency just don't make sense. Beyond ozone depletion.R12 and R502 were probably the greatest advancements in 20th century refrigeration.

Feb 22, 2007 · I thought HP80 run at lower discharged temperature than R502. In fact it runs at 5 degrees lower. It also gives 10% more capacity. Even though its discharge pressure is higher than R502. In fact 40 PSIG higher. Even though its suction pressure is higher than R502. In fact 5 PSIG higher So higher pressure does not mean bad at all.

Dec 20, 2015 · Found an almost full 30lb jub of R502 in a building (former hospital) that my employer recently inherited. Was tucked behind a walk-in refer in the basement that appears to have been changed out to r404A years ago.

Aug 13, 2007 · One More Thing! One more thing to mention, The freezer that I am talking about does have a semi-hermetic and oddly enough before the 502 gas was changed to 404a, the system already had POE in it.

Nov 4, 2004 · Can mineral oil be used under any circumstances with R502? I recently checked a system where the compressor was definately low on oil with very little showing in the crankcase sight glass. This was a Copeland comp #EAVB-021ECAV. I beleive Copeland states that the oil level in the compressor should be at the 3/4 mark of the sight glass.

Jan 4, 2009 · With the fades out of R502 , Danfoss changed the compressor with another name and filled with POE oil . This new compressor supposed to work with R404a. When the system is with this new compressor with POE oil and about 80%(from R502 amount) R404a charged does not cool to -30C or it struggles to get there.

R22 to R502 machine for leak detection Would it be ok to pressurize a R502 taylor soft serve machine using r22 or r404a to find a leak? I have a freon/halogen leak detector but it doesn't detect r502, but does detect 404a and r22.

Jan 29, 2023 · Hey folks, I got a tank of R-502. It has about 31 lbs of R-502. I am not sure what's it worth, but it seems like it's a lot.
