Nov 27, 2010 · "It" being an extra 6-8 lbs and $1000 (approximate figures) on these newer bikes. I have never really had an issue with my front brakes locking up. My theory is if you have a proper suspension set up, adjusted tire pressures brought up to temp, and a good braking system on the bike then you will be perfectly fine.

Sep 8, 2017 · My '08 R6S has a " J 5 0 6 E " stamp. It's rare that DIY shade-tree and often even mechanics, take things apart and reassemble them as the factory would've. If you see knackered wiring job from a rear mud-guard (fender) delete but everything underneath the tank looks factory in its routing and ties, you likely have an original engine.

Apr 29, 2019 · Thanks, took off my rear pegs after I installed an OEM passenger seat cowl. I found that Dorman 963-018D trim panel push retainers for Ford/Chrysler are cheap and fit the passenger peg bolt holes perfectly, they are about $2 at any autoparts store.

Nov 12, 2018 · The main difference are the fairings. If you look into the generations of the R6 you will see 98-02 R6 (Carb) 03-09 R6S(fuel injected and kept a somewhat similar look to the 98-02 R6) 06-2016 R6 (fuel injected) Fairings are very different from the R6S and older models.
