Quill Kukla (previously known as Rebecca Kukla) is a Canadian and American philosopher. They are a professor of philosophy at Georgetown University and the Senior Research Scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. In 2020 and 2021, they were Humboldt Research Scholar at Leibniz University Hannover. [1]

I am Professor of Philosophy and Disability Studies at Georgetown University. For much of 2025 and 2026 I will be a fellow at the SOCRATES Institute at Leibniz Universität Hannover. I also hold honorary positions at the University of Johannesburg, Queen’s University Belfast, and Technische Universität Berlin.

This summer (2020) I will once again teach “BoJack Horseman and Philosophy: What do we know? Do we know things? Let’s find out!” online, through Georgetown University. This class uses BoJack Horseman as a primary text, through which to explore existentialism, ethics, issues around personal identity and responsibility, embodiment, and more.
