The Q-code is a standardised collection of three-letter codes that each start with the letter "Q". It is an operating signal initially developed for commercial radiotelegraph communication and later adopted by other radio services, especially amateur radio.

The first letter is always the letter “Q” to indicate a code abbreviation for use in the composition of NOTAM s. m. The second and third letters identify the subject being reported.

The codes QAA–QNZ are assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO); QOA–QQZ by the Maritime Mobile Service and QRA–QUZ by the International Telecommunications Union (Radio-communication Sector).
