This delightful flowering gum has masses of pale pink blossoms in summer time. A small tree to 6 metres tall and 4 metres wide, with a dense canopy. Likes full sun to part shade, and most soil types. Best in temperate climates with lower humidity. A superb plant for bird attracting.

Although they’re endemic to Australia and a few islands immediately to the north, many eucalypt species are cultivated in tropical and temperate regions elsewhere for a variety of uses.

You’ll find a cream-coloured bark with patches of pink, yellow, or brown, white flowers, and curved green leaves. Be careful when walking underneath a red gum tree because they often drop entire branches without warning, or can even topple over entirely, especially if the tree is diseased.
