Jan 23, 2005 · I use a Mesa Boogie Nomad for both the Piezo and the Magnetic pickups. I've used this amp since 1999 and it is the cleanest all tube amp I've ever owned. I can ultra "sparkley" clean "Jazz Chorus" type sounds (with a Chorus) and just straight out clean easily.

The maximum frequency of the output signal would be 500kHz, with the output amplitudes ranging from a few millivolts to 0.3 V. I have chosen OP37EPZ as its slew rate is 17microV/s and GBW product is 63 MHz.

We found the nifty PAM8904, which is an amplifier specifically designed for driving piezo elements - and unlike audio amplifiers it's good for up to 300 KHz! It's a switched-cap piezo driver that has bridge-tied load (BTL) output and up to 3x voltage multiplication thanks to a built in boosting circuit for up to ~13Vpp.

Some piezo accelerometers can have as little as 200pF capacitance, meaning that the preamp input impedance must be at least 20MΩ to get a -3dB frequency of 40Hz. If you aim for a higher impedance, the circuit is more flexible, and can handle a wide range of different pickups.

While commercial off-the-shelf piezo drive units are available, a piezo actuator may also be controlled by a precision operational amplifier (op amp) drive circuit.

Oct 23, 2018 · Try the Tube Pre amp without a cab. It can add some warmth and aid dynamic response. Also, try direct in, no amp, with a multiband compressor and perhaps a GEQ. You can also try an IR that is a tone match of an acoustic guitar track or use the Tone Match feature to capture an acoustic sound you like.
