Delphinia picta is a species of picture-winged fly in the family Ulidiidae. The specific name picta is from Latin and means "painted." [6] It is the only species in the monospecific genus Delphinia.

Named for the ornate color patterns on their wings, picture-winged flies are small or medium-sized flies whose larvae often feed on decaying materials. Invertebrates are animals without backbones, including earthworms, slugs, snails, and arthropods.
