Dec 7, 2023 · Sugar Beach is a quiet, lesser-visited shoreline on the north end of Kihei. It is also the longest continuous stretch of sand in Maui, extending 2.5 miles from North Kihei to Haycraft Park. The open space and lack of crowds make Sugar Beach the perfect place for an extended walk on the beach.

Jan 30, 2020 · Sugar beach is a nice wide long sandy beach right near both Kihei and Wailea as well as Maalaea. Going there gets you out of the resort areas and ensures you won’t have hotels in the backgrounds of your photos.

Nov 17, 2024 · While it appears that Kihei is blessed with an abundance of beautiful beaches, it seems that the north part of Kihei--specifically the Sugar Beach area- is somewhat quieter and less crowded. Am I correct in that assumption?

Sugar Beach is a long stretch of sand located at the north end of Kihei toward Maalaea Harbor in Maui's south shore. The fine white sand is ideal for walks and sunbathing. There are also numerous trees which provide shade and great spots for picnics.
