Philadelphia Zoo is located at the corner of 34th Street and Girard Avenue in Philadelphia’s historic Fairmount Park. The Zoo is just two miles from downtown Philadelphia and public transportation is available using SEPTA, which runs bus and trolley routes to the Zoo area.

This collaboration includes recreating four garden areas in highly visible locations to showcase the power of horticulture to create joy and inspire action to protect habitats.

Apr 3, 2025 · Philadelphia Zoo is home to three adult Galapagos tortoises, male Abrazzo, females Mommy and Little Girl, and four hatchlings. Guests can visit the hatchlings inside the Reptile and Amphibian House starting April 23. The hatchlings will remain at the Zoo for at least five years.
