  1. Pepcid For Greyhounds? - Food and dietary discussion - Greytalk

Sep 29, 2013 · Pepcid is pretty benign but, like any med, shouldn't be used unless needed. Usually it's used for inappetence / upset stomach / vomiting. Occasionally a vet will suggest it for mild diarrhea -- if the stomach is too acidic, diarrhea can result, and Pepcid can take the edge off of …

  2. Pepcid Dosing Frequency? - Health and Medical discussion

Sep 8, 2008 · Nelly's on Pepcid twice a day for the stomach upset from her kidney disease. We've been giving it at 6 am and 6 pm. She usually eats lunch around noon and dinner around 8. The last couple of days she hasn't eaten much/any lunch, and we're wondering if the Pepcid is maybe starting to wear off just...

  3. Rimadyl And Pepcid? - Health and Medical discussion - Greytalk

Feb 23, 2012 · Ensure that you space out pepcid with meds. My vet recommended 2 hours between meds (in our case prednisone) and pepcid and his pepcid dose is 15mg per meal (meals here are twice a day). I've also noticed name brand Pepcid can be given 15 mins before food but some generic famotidine takes an hour to work :s.

  4. Pepcid (Famotidine) For Diarrhea? - Health and Medical ... - Greytalk

Nov 16, 2010 · No, Pepcid AC is not the same as Flagyl and will not treat diarrhea. It is an anti-acid, to help reduce stomach acid. IMMODIUM does treat diarrhea, and can be given to dogs if needed. You can give one tablet every eight hours (*per my former vet/employer).

  5. When To Give Pepcid In Conjunction With Antibiotics?

  6. Famotadine Same As Pepcid Ac? - Health and Medical discussion

Feb 28, 2010 · 1 regular strength Pepcid = 10mg famotidine. The Walgreen's version is usually called "Acid Controller." I usually give 10mg twice a day. You can give more, but might want to consult your vet about that.

  7. Need Advice - Can Pepcid Cause Loose Stool? - Health and …

Sep 13, 2010 · I was advised to give her a Pepcid (10mg famotidine) about 30min or so prior to giving her a Prednisone dose (or anything that could upset her tummy). In July, and again last week, she got a case of Big D and couldn't shake it off-- the vet said that while on Pred, her immune system is suppressed and she can't fight off stuff that she maybe ...

  8. Rimadyl And Pepcid: Am I Doing This Right? - Greytalk

Nov 12, 2015 · Can someone just check me and make sure this schedule of Pepcid/Rimadyl/food looks okay? Sweep started Rimadyl yesterday after Meloxicam didn't agree with her; she had a full week washout between them. She had Rimadyl last year very short-term and seemed to do okay on it, but she was only getting...

  9. Famotidine V. Omeprazole For Acid Reduction In Dogs

Sep 29, 2011 · In a different thread, Chris (greysmom) mentioned that: >>>NOTE<<< Dr Brown told me today - and this was news to me, though probably not to others - that the only acid reducer that works in dogs is omeprazole. The other drugs - famotidine and ranitidine - …

  10. Pepcid Ac - Health and Medical discussion - Greytalk

Nov 16, 2012 · I wouldn't worry too much about cutting back from 20mg to 10mg a day right away. Merlin has been on 20mg famotidine a day for well over a year. He has never had any side effects. (I give him the generic stuff now as it's cheaper than Pepcid.) Of course every dog is different. What is your vet suggesting? Edited November 20, 2012 by MerlinsMum
