  1. PW6000 - Failure? - Airliners.net

Apr 12, 2005 · The PW6000 is a smaller, lighter (probably cheaper) engine made to fit the 318. CFM56 and IAE V2500 engines are really too big. Even if they are electronically derated to fit the 318, then they are still equally heavy. And that extra weight is a disadvantage. On the other hand fleetwide engine commonality is a maintenance advantage.

  2. PW6000 Engines To Be Offered On The A318 Elite.

Jan 25, 2006 · Pratt & Whitney and Airbus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer the PW6000 engine to the A318 Elite. The A318 Elite is the corporate jet version of the A318. The PW6000 engine will be incorporating a number of new technologies and design characteristics enabling low cost of operations.

  3. Status of PW6000 A318 Fleet? - Airliners.net

Dec 16, 2018 · Many have been broken up as, even though the PW6000 pool is tiny, there are a number of other parts that are interchangeable with other A320 family jets. It's interesting that, in raw figures, there have been more CFM-powered birds retired compared to the PW6000s - …

  4. PW6000, CFM56-5A/B, LEAP-1A, PW1100G - Airliners.net

May 29, 2019 · Integrated mixer/full-length nacelle: PW6000 or IAE V2500. The 2500 is a bigger engine, but you can look at the plane length to know which one it is (318->PW, 319/20/21->2500). Short duct, no cone in exhaust: CFM56-5 (the 5B is slightly longer, but it's hard to see) Big fan and BP duct, cone in exhaust: PW1000G or LEAP.

  5. First Picture Of The PW6000 Powered LAN A318 - Airliners.net

Feb 17, 2007 · SID-FOR is only 1536 nm - well within the range of a A318, yet alone an A318 without passengers. So I don't see why they would need to use aux tanks to get the aircraft from Africa to South America - and you certainly wouldn't need them to get from TLS (where the picture was taken) to SID, or FOR to SCL.

  6. A318 With PW6000A - Airliners.net

Feb 6, 2005 · Probably because it's too much engine, like the CFM56. I think the intent was to offer the A318 with a new, smaller, efficient engine closely matched to the plane, e.g. the PW6000, but when Pratt screwed it up, and also when Air France insisted on CFMs or no order, Airbus basically had no choice but to offer the CFM also.

  7. PW-6000 Powered A318s Question - Airliners.net

Apr 10, 2006 · The PW6000 was designed in the era of sub $30 bbl oil. At that price, adding an extra high turbine stage and two extra low compressor stages isn't worth the 2% to 3% drop in fuel burn. It still might not be on the 1 hour missions the PW6000 was designed for (due to added engine weight counteracting improvements in engine thermodynamics).

  8. PW6000-- How Much? - Airliners.net

Nov 19, 2001 · The list price for the PW6000 should be less than half of that. In reality, engines are usually sold with large discounts because engine companies count on hefty margins on spare parts sales. USER_MINI_PROFILE

  9. PW6000 For Embraer 190/195? - Airliners.net

Dec 24, 2003 · However, the PW6000 series engine won't need so much thrust for the Embraer 190/195 compared to the A318, which is a far heavier airplane than the Embraers. I still think PW might seriously look at possibly installing the PW6000 series engine on the Embraer 190/195 series within a few years, especially if Lufthansa CityLine orders the plane as ...

The baby of Dassault's corporate jet lineup, the Falcon 10 and Falcon 100 series (Mystère 10 and Mystère 100 in France) sold in good numbers during a production run that lasted almost two decades. <p>In concept a scaled down Falcon/Mystère 20, the Falcon 10/100 was an all new design except for similar wing high lift devices.
