Mar 16, 2012 · I actually bought mine 4 years ago because I got tired of waiting for the REPR AND because I witnessed a shooter at Ben Avery repeatedly print 5 shot groups with all bullet holes touching with a 16-inch POF 308. I was blown away that an AR platform could be that accurate and immediately gave up my intention to purchase an accurized bolt gun in 308.

Sep 12, 2014 · POF created their own design and product, I think they have done a good job over the years on continually making the product better. As any newer / growing / upcoming company or new design, I believe they have experienced some growing pains and possibly some QC issues here and there as is expected.

Dec 19, 2015 · Update on the ZQI ammo in the POF P308. It won't cycle the bolt in either my 14.5" or 16.5" gen3 POF. Lake City M80, MFS soft point, Wolf ball ammo, and Freedom Munitions Hornady 178 Amax reloads run without any problem. I think we can confirm the problem is the ZQI ammo purchased from AIM Surplus in late 2015. POF rifles are GTG.

Mar 25, 2019 · Gen3 had fluted barrels that tended to make groups “walk” slightly as the barrel heated up. However, the unfluted barrels introduced with the Gen4 Edge models added 8oz to a 16” .308 barrel. POF is now making the Edge models with both fluted and unfluted barrels. I prefer the fluted barrel. Either generation is excellent.

Sep 6, 2022 · POF has been at it for years, but the close to $2000 price tag made it a 'want' rather than a must have. Had they gotten to the $1200 range, POF would have saturated the market. Even a more stripped down version. With that said, I do understand POF wanting to stick to the premium market and not chase the cheapest AR platform like PSA.
