There are two ways to do PMF, with one better for covering foam, and the other a little bit cheaper, and better for covering wood. To show the two slightly different processes that can be used, I've broken it into two different sections.

Oct 21, 2020 · PMF-foamie construction is only slightly cheaper than hand laid fiberglass and foam, assuming you use the same foam and shop for low prices on cloth and epoxy. The main advantage with PMF-Foamie is that it's quicker and easier to work with.

Apr 18, 2023 · I am in the planning of making a minimal very light PMF foamie teardrop trailer. I would like your opinion and input about those 2 methods to fill the weave: Glue the canvas and completely fill the weave with diluted Titebond 2 and then paint.

Jan 27, 2023 · Covered inside and out with PMF (poor mans fiberglass), painted glued canvas. I made two rear panels, one with a door and window the other as a clamshell style hatch. It's light weight and has a removable bunk inside and a roof fan. Cost to build $2k.

Feb 5, 2018 · I'm getting ready to build me a teardrop out of foam and skin it with PMF. I have found videos about pmf on plywood and it looks like a pretty solid surface. I have also found videos on using fiberglass on foam.
