Dec 19, 2022 · Will this movie be considered a cinematic masterpiece and win best Oscar like it deserves? I saw the early screening, I won’t spoil anything but it was THE BEST movie of the Year!! (for me) no chance of beating Shrek or Shrek 2 but it is amazing, and I will see it again when it comes out.

Mar 14, 2023 · UNTILL PiB TLW released and all of a sudden people started comparing PiB TLW alongside the bad guys which has no major relevance till after PiB released being used as two major movies that destroyed Disney.

It's funny, I know animation studios have multiple teams, each working on different projects, but right now it kinda feels like they've got a "generic DreamWorks" side of the studio (Ruby Gillman, Trolls 3, etc.) and a "stylized DreamWorks" side (Bad Guys, PiB:TLW, and now The Wild Robot), and the stylized team is knocking it out of the park.

Puss in Boots (aka PiB) The Last Wish definitely wears its inspiration of it heavily on its sleeve, but still has an identity on it's own. Because holy hell, it has style for days and I absolutely loved the animation in this.

PiB:tLW cores the perfect cinema hero and lays bare its central conceit that makes adventure protagonists watchable. It doesn't involve badassery, invulnerability, and attitude, but rather fear, running away, and desperation.
