Pneumococcal vaccine 13-valent vaccine (PCV13) is an inactivated bacterial vaccine used for routine immunization in children, and in adults. PCV13 protects from invasive disease and pneumonia caused by 13 strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, including serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F and 23F.
