Oct 7, 2021 · My problem is that my veiled chameleon is orange on the sides, I don’t remember how long it’s been there but when he changes colors and goes back to green the orange hue still remains on his body. Nov 22, 2024 · The chameleon is dehydrated based on the solid orange urate. They should be no more than 50% orange to be considered hydrated. The fecal however has mucous in it. This would be cause for a fecal test to rule out a parasite load.

Aug 4, 2012 · An orange urate can be completely liquid, too - a dehydrated chameleon would not spend water to its urate. I'll take a picture the next time I see a well hydrated chameleon with coloured urate, or I'll search my pictures to show some examples.
