IHC – Old Logos After a merger of several companies that created International Harvester in 1902, the logo on the left was adopted as the core corporate logo. It had the letters “I” and “H” inside the letter “C,” and all three letters were capitalized and had serifs.

For the first logo, from 1902, it features the initials “IH” for International Harvester, set within a circular seal that suggests unity and completeness. The font is bold and stylized with serifs, giving a robust and grounded feel, reflective of the company’s industrial roots.

1914 — The original International Truck logo was simply the word “International” in script. It was frequently seen on slope-nose models of the early 20s, but disappeared when production ceased on those models.

Nov 15, 2011 · Recall reading in one of my books that supposedly Raymond Loewry Drew the new IH logo out while on the train from NY to Chicago stating that the old Victorian IHC logo was too soft. The new logo would show the strength of IH.

Jun 11, 2014 · 1945 was the adoption of the IH symbol. Previously it was IHC with the C wrapped around it. There were an earlier version of IHC and a later version. In 1945 the man on a tractor (Raymond Loewy) IH symbol was unveiled.
