Is buying a used BMW worth it? : r/BMW - Reddit
And also, the reason I'm considering BMW is that Audi is just a fancy VW, and Mercedes is for old people. Porsche would be nice but they get really expensive really fast. The Japanese brands like Lexus will probably be more reliable, but they're boring.
Should I be hesitant to buy a 10 year old BMW : r/BMW - Reddit
Jun 14, 2017 · As I look for a new car I seem to find a lot of 10 year old BMW's of all types. There are a few that seem to be priced extremely reasonably for a 10 year old car with low mileage. Is there a reason for this? Should I be staying away from BMW's that are 10 years old? Just curious.
Guide to buying a used BMW : r/BmwTech - Reddit
BMW squeezes more out of engines and suspensions than most other traditional manufactures, specifically in terms of power, emissions (for the generated power) and overall driving dynamics. Obviously this is subjective but despite their having a reputation for being problematic and costly they are still a desirable car by most people's estimation.
Would buying a 4-7 year old BMW be a wise decision? : r/BMW
4-7 year old car is gonna be better than a 10-15 year old car. Don’t be scared of BMW. It’s a good brand, the cars are reliable. About 6 years ago the older generations of the turbo engines were phased out so anything you buy with 30i or 40i in the model name is going to have a great engine.
Are old BMW's actually "bad" : r/carmodification - Reddit
The thing is, BMW makes SO MANY different cars with different engine packages, drivetrains, electronics, systems, etc. But you hear a few stories about a multi thousand dollar rod bearing service, or see how expensive parts at the dealership cost, yeah, I could see why one would blanket BMW with that stigma.
Is it worth buying older BMW? : r/PersonalFinanceCanada - Reddit
Jun 16, 2023 · The fact that a 20 year old BMW is for sale doesnt follow from BMW doesn't make shitty cars. One has nothing to do with the other. After a BMW is that old and likely has had a few owners, it has nothing to do with the quality that BMW makes. After maybe the second owner, the car was likely bought so the guy could look cool.
Is buying a used BMW really that bad of an idea? : r/askcarguys
Apr 7, 2022 · It is that bad of an idea. Not just because the parts are expensive (they are) not just because BMW specifies and designs parts replacement at more frequent intervals (they do) and not just because they do not allow you to recondition certain parts (try turning BMW rotors of a brake machine) it's impossible.
is a BMW 3 series a bad idea for a first car? : r ... - Reddit
Aug 3, 2021 · If you take a BMW that age and in that price for an inspection, the mechanic WILL find something, haha. I wouldn't have the expectation that any used 3 series will pass with flying colors. But I'm also a lifelong BMW enthusiast - I've had a few e28s, an e39, an e65, an e60 M5 and currently have an e28 535is and F30 340i.

Nov 7, 2021 · People always said that bmw were best in the 80s and 90s I own a E46 330ci and that car is fucking good. Very reliable, good looking and fast. Good parts no fucking cheap shit plastic But after 2003 when bmw started making E60 and E90 they became very unreliable and we all know that the 2003-2010 bmw generation sucked.
