I'm not sure I understand the context for using the Okta Verify app. Are you an Okta Admin experiencing issue with the login to one of your developer tenants or are you having issues loging into the Okta Developers site where you had configured a OV as the preferred MFA option?

I use Okta verify for work quite a bit, and never noticed this before. Any way to make that stop running in the background, or does Okta verify need to stay running to get the MFA pushes? Is it the new FastPass feature that makes the app run in the background?

Jul 9, 2022 · I'd say though, just to make sure nothing funny, afterwards make sure to test out fast pass on the phone. Go to the phones settings > apps > Okta Verify > Notifications> notification category and turn fast pass to off and the constant banner isn't there anymore.

Head over to Okta Verify on your phone, click launch dashboard and go to settings. There should be an option under Security Methods to add another verfiication method. Select security key and do the needful.
