In my experience, the Rosary (primary) and Reflector (secondary) combo is incredibly effective and efficient. The Rosary Beads are fast and make up for lower power with the number of hits they can rack up.

Rosaries let you do damage at range quickly to build combos, but you will be immobile more often. The combo potential works great for building Divinity. Glaves do the most damage per hit and can be charged, but require you to get close. They are the slowest weapon for comboing. For secondary attacks: Reflectors give you a blocking move.

Devout Beads is the first rosary that you acquire. It is a good introduction into rosaries. You get it when you restore the Guardian Sapling. It is the only one that comes in a chest as the rest come via a boss or you buy it with two other exceptions. It is the weakest of all the tier one weapons yet it has the longest range and combos the easiest.
