This three-day event highlights the rich history and future possibilities of the pawpaw through delectable foods, workshops & presentations, live music & entertainment, a community marketplace, kids’ activities and more.
Venue – Ohio Pawpaw Festival
Lake Snowden has hosted the Ohio Pawpaw Festival since 2001. It is located just outside of Albany, Ohio, on US 50. The park, owned and operated by Hocking College, offers limited overflow tent campsites during the festival. Limited shower facilities are available for registered campers only. Electric sites generally sell out a year in advance.
The North American pawpaw (Asimina triloba) tree, hereafter referred to as pawpaw, is the official native tree fruit of the state of Ohio (USA) and is an anomaly because it is the only temperate fruit tree from the tropical Annonaceae family [1].
Parking/Shuttles – Ohio Pawpaw Festival
The Pawpaw Fest Shuttles will be picking up festival goers at the lower level of Baker Center at OU and at the Quidel Building at 2005 E State St (parking available behind the building) to the Pawpaw Festival at Lake Snowden.
