Over the years, Oda has been wont to make his stories more and more complicated while sticking to the 20 page chapter format. This naturally causes him to stick as much as he can into each panel and make smaller and smaller panels.

I like Oda's artstyle more for the amazing scenery shots he does especially when introducing a new island or doing a badass pre-fight shot. In terms of character design he is average in comparison to other artists I would say though he draws better than I will ever be able too 😅
