I have recently discovered that by pressing shift key, you are capable of temporarily switching numpad modes from numbers to Home/End/PgUp/PgDown and arrow keys. Despite shift toggling the keypad being quaint, I have never used or needed this and it is bothersome as I use my keypad for assigning mouse macros in gaming.

Jul 17, 2023 · The premise behind asking this question is, when the numlock is off, the keys on the numpad act like home, end, etc. But when the numlock is on, they can't be used to perform shortcuts like ctrl+home or shift +home (because they now behave like number keys).
