NOVATEK sells its natural gas on the Russian domestic market through the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) and on international markets mainly in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG). NOVATEK’s main businesses are the exploration and production, processing, transportation and marketing of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons.

Yamal LNG has commenced producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the first LNG train in 2017. Therefore, NOVATEK entered the global gas market and transforms into a global gas and LNG power.

Yamal LNG Yamal LNG is large-scale arctic LNG project. JCS Yamal LNG operates and owns the project’s assets. The project relies on the resources of the South-Tambeyskoye field, which is located at the North-East of the Yamal Peninsula in YNAO. The nameplate capacity of the LNG plant is 17.4 mmtpa with three 5.5 mmtpa trains and a 0.9 mmtpa train.
