follows 90 year old Nora Cortiñas in the present day as she takes up the fight for women’s reproductive rights in Argentina. Intercut with her campaign is the story of her journey from joining the iconic ‘Mothers of Plaza de Mayo’ movement in 1977 to becoming a symbol of protest and democracy in Latin America today.

The feature-length documentary NORITA is a journey through the history of the 1970s dictatorship in Argentina, an era in which protagonist Norita’s son Gustavo was kidnapped and disappeared by the ruling military; journeying through to the present day where the so-called feminist "green wave" is expanding from Argentina to the world.

As a mother seeking justice for her disappeared son during the dark days of Argentina’s dictatorship, Norita’s unwavering determination and fearless activism led her to co-found the renowned Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, a pivotal human rights organization.
