Wiring for a PWM Noctua. | Duet3D Forum
Jan 4, 2018 · Connect the PWM wire to the Fan- pin of one of the controlled fan connectors. Invert the fan PWM using the I1 parameter in the initial M106 command. Depending on the fan, you may not be able to turn it off completely. It's possible to connect the tacho output from one 4-pin fan to the Duet to get an RPM readout, but I don't have the details to ...
PWM Fan connections for Duet 3 6XD / 6HC / 3HC | Duet3D Forum
May 24, 2023 · I'm trying to run Noctua fans on an upcoming 3d printer using a 6XD + 3HC setup, however this equally applies to the 6HC. As per their whitepaper all Noctua fans require the PWM pin to operate at a 5V level. The convenient 4 pin connectors can't be used because the fan supply voltage is either +12V (internal regulator) or V_FUSED (in my case 24V).
4-pin noctua fans only working at above 90% pwm | Duet3D Forum
Hi, I am trying to get a 120mm noctua nf f12 industrial fan (12V, 4pin pwm) to work as apart cooling fan. I have connected it as described in the documentation and as shown in the image below. The problem is that the pwm control is not working correctly. The fan turns off at any level below approx. 80 and only turns on at 90 and above.
Working with 24v but having a noctua as heatsink fan in 12v
Jun 26, 2018 · Alternatively, don't do that but instead connect the red wire of your 12V fan to the positive output of the converter, and the black wire to the Fan- pin of your chosen fan output. Then only that fans (and any other that you wire in the same way) will get 12V, and fans connected directly to the fan outputs will get either VIN or 5V depending on ...
StepDown 24V-->12V for Noctua Fan | Duet3D Forum
Apr 5, 2021 · I have a 24V Powersupply and the Noctua Fan needs 12V. All other Fans are 24V. Should not be a big deal, because it can be always on. So i tried to use a stepdown converter. I wired it to my powersupply. And set the Voltage at output to 12V. But when i connect my Noctua fan to it, the output voltage is the same as the Input voltage.
Noctua fan PWM issue | Duet3D Forum
Apr 10, 2020 · The leakage in the flyback diode is very small, so it should be safe to connect the FAN- pin directly to the PWM input. However, if you are worried about the leakage then you cold connect a 1N4148 or similar diode between the FAN- pin and the fan PWM lean (cathode to the FAN- pin). I am running two Noctua 4-wire fans on Duet 3 in this way.
Are Noctua fans weak at blowing a lot of air? | Duet3D Forum
May 22, 2019 · I got a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM fan for my hotend heat sink here. I got it hooked up correctly with the duet 2 fan guide as pwm fan. I got it hooked up correctly with the duet 2 fan guide as pwm fan. When the hot end reaches set temp the fan turns on, but it seems so weak compared another no brand of the same size.
Maximum Frequency of PWM Fans | Duet3D Forum
May 7, 2018 · Note that some 4-wire PWM-controlled fans can't be turned completely off. The Intel PWM fan specification only requires that they can be controlled down to 30% of full speed. I have been told that Noctua 4-wire fans do allow you to turn them right off using the PWM input. The maximum PWM frequency supported is 65535Hz.
Noctua 5v 40mm fan only running at max power | Duet3D Forum
Jun 5, 2018 · Those fans are very quiet. Is there an issue with running them at 100% power? For the layer fan when printing PLA that probably wouldn't be an issue since it's not the most powerful fan to begin with. For a good controllable 5v blower Sunon has some good options.
Noctua 4010 and E3D V6 | Duet3D Forum
Jan 25, 2021 · The Noctua hotend fan is sitting directly in front of the V6. Currently I've set it to 35% but the V6 is getting quite hot and T0 temperature is raising far too slow. undefined 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0
