What's the reason of smears emarged on my native PAGE?
There might be 2 reasons for the smear: 1- Too much DNA is loaded 2-Your DNA is already degraded. I suggest to run an intact DNA next to your samples to see the effect of your annealing...
While the stacking gel is polymerizing, prepare the samples in the appropriate volume of SDS gel-loading buffer and heat them to 100°C for 3 minutes to denature the proteins. Be sure to denature a sample containing marker proteins of known molecular weights.
Gel ™N Native Gel Starter Kit. This kit contains also electrophoresis cathode and anode buffer as well as two different sample buffers to perform Blue Native (BN) and Clear Native (CN) gel electrophoresis.
Native-PAGE - Assay-Protocol
In native PAGE electrophoresis most proteins have an acidic or slightly basic pl (isoelectric point) (~3–8) and migrate towards the negative polar. If your protein's pl is larger than 8,9, for example, you should probably reverse the anode and run the native PAGE gel.
Separation of Protein Oligomers by Blue Native Gel Electrophoresis
Native gel electrophoresis is used as a tool to assess structural differences in proteins. This note presents an application to separate oligomeric forms of proteins, such as HIV-1 reverse transcriptase monomers and homodimers.
Gel-based Analysis of Protein-Nucleic Acid Interactions - PMC
These include preparation of the native polyacrylamide gel, preparation of protein-nucleic acid samples, electrophoresis, and imaging. We further discuss several common adaptations of EMSAs, including semi-quantitative estimation of affinity, …
A high‐definition native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis system for ...
Mar 18, 2011 · Native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) is an important technique for the analysis of membrane protein complexes. A major breakthrough was the development of blue native (BN-) and high resolution clear native (hrCN-) PAGE techniques.
electrophoresis of NativePAGETM Novex® Bis-Tris Gels to obtain optimal and consistent performance. The recommended loading volumes and protein load per band by the detection method are provided in the following table. Scale your sample load …
Blue native PAGE | Nature Protocols
Jun 27, 2006 · Blue native PAGE (BN-PAGE) can be used for one-step isolation of protein complexes from biological membranes and total cell and tissue homogenates. It can also be used to determine native...
Invitrogen now introduces NativePAGETM Novex® Bis-Tris gels for blue-native electrophoresis of proteins and protein complexes, and NativeMarkTM unstained standards for size estimation of proteins in native PAGE. The BN PAGE technique uses Coomassie G …
