At the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS), Mugen surprised everyone by unveiling this extreme NSX. Called the RR, it comes almost four years after production of the regular model was cancelled. The biggest modification was made to body with new carbon fibre and aluminum panels that both widens and lengthens the standard NSX body.

Even though the next generation of the Acura NSX and its potential successor has been officially scrapped, Honda's long-time motorsports partner Mugen has created a very exotic one-off concept of the NSX.
