As an 80s kid who went to actual bops in the 90s, this doesn't sound like a 90s song to me at all. I'm really not good at analysing music, but it's too complex and layered and pitched quite low, it doesn't have that uncomplicated 90s brightness. (But I do think Everybody by the Backstreet Boys they're referencing is quite a muddy sounding song.)

As an early 90s baby, this took me right back to my childhood in the best way possible. This somehow sounds like it came straight from the 90s but also is so fresh and new. I love it! Everyone was amazing, but Haechan, Ten, and Sungchan stole the show for me. NCT just keeps getting better. This makes me even more excited for Work It.

Nov 15, 2021 · Background Info: I'm not to familiar with NCT's music but recently I discovered one of their songs on sportify called 90's love, and I immediately fell in love with it. The song was clearly paying homage to 90's hip-hop and black culture, they even used samples from significant black artists who influenced the genre during its time.
