Eleanor Raye "Ellie" Bishop is a former NSA analyst and a former NCIS Special Agent as well as a member of the NCIS Major Case Response Team. She is also the daughter of Barbara Bishop, sister of John Bishop, George and Robert Bishop, the ex-wife of Jake Malloy and the ex-girlfriend (almost fiancée) of deceased civilian Qasim Naasir.

In 2013, prior to the departure of actress Cote de Pablo, Wickersham was cast as NSA Analyst Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop in a three-episode arc starting from Season 11 of NCIS, starting November 19, 2013, on CBS. She was subsequently promoted to series regular, and her character officially became an NCIS Special Agent.
