Feb 20, 2020 · Hi I wanted to know the best way to set up the 2020 Moomba Helix which i will get next week. Dont have the Auto Wake system though. Wanted to know what you guys recommend for upgraded ballasts (brand/weight), as i have been talking to several people and have gotten mixed information on what will work best. Appreciate any help. Aug 17, 2017 · However, I've read the surf wake on the Helix is noticeably better than the Mondo as well as a better wakeboard wake at slower speeds. Anybody with real time experience with this? Also, does anybody know if the 2018 Helix will have more/better exterior options? Can you get a Helix with a bimini that stores a wake surf board? Thanks!

Sep 3, 2017 · Earlier this year we bought a 2017 Moomba Helix. We could never get a good enough wake so we upgraded our ballast bags. We have 1200 in both sides and in a 700 in the front. We fill the backs all the way and the front to around 60. The swim platform is about 3 inches under water. Wake plate at 50-100 and flow around 80.

I know most answers will be biased to Moomba here but I am having a hard time finding much info about the Helix to compare so I started checking other manufacturers.

Oct 30, 2019 · As far as a Moomba, have you looked at the new Kaiyen? Both are heavier boats with more ballast when compared to the Helix. The Max and Kaiyen will both make a better wake compared to the Helix. I would only go with the Helix if you need a boat that small (i.e. size restriction on the lake).

May 16, 2018 · New Moomba owner s of a few weeks ago! I picked up this 2018 Helix, and shes a beut. She didn't come with tower speakers, so I am looking to add some. After reading through this section it sounds like the HLCD speakers are the way to go, if they are in my price range. I don't have a large budget ($1000), but I do have some questions.

Aug 17, 2019 · the helix will do it all. first question I would ask is size of crew and any lake restrictions. having started out in a 20ft, then 22 and now 23.9, I found that 22ft was the right size. large enough to accommodate a larger crew when needed but not too large when it's just a couple. surf wake will be better in a 22ft rig than a 20.
