Apr 19, 2022 · We are proud to announce the release of Moodle LMS 4.0 and an improved user experience for Moodle’s 300 million users worldwide.

Release date: 19 April 2022. Here is the full list of fixed issues in 4.0.0. See our New features page in the user documentation for an introduction to Moodle 4.0 with screenshots. If you are upgrading from a previous version, please see Upgrading in the user docs. These are just the minimum supported versions.

Apr 19, 2022 · Moodle 4.0 introduces a new design language, visual styling and is responsive and consistent between devices. The new navigation hierarchy is simplified and shows what is contextually relevant. Access to the most commonly used items is delivered through tabbed navigation, which is consistent sitewide.

Dec 15, 2021 · Following on from these dates we will extend the security support for Moodle 3.11 by 6 months to provide additional overlap with the Moodle 4.0 release allowing more time to migrate sites. We will also shift the Moodle 4.1 release date to November 2022.
