The thermal stability of metal-organic frameworks
Sep 15, 2020 · The current status of thermal characterization in the MOF field could be described, charitably, as haphazard. This review lays out some recommendations on performing isothermal experiments to accurately identify a decomposition temperature.
Modulation of the Thermochemical Stability and Adsorptive …
Feb 8, 2021 · In this article, we present a method to thermally stabilize MOF-808 by employing post-synthetic functionalization to incorporate benzoate moieties into its framework. We further describe how this incorporation changes the MOFs’ physicochemical properties (i.e., surface area, gas-adsorptive behavior, and crystallographic structure).
Metal organic frameworks MIL-100(Fe) as an efficient adsorptive ...
Feb 1, 2019 · The MOF offered a maximum adsorption capacity of 93.6 mg g −1 for phosphate from aqueous solutions with Langmuir isotherm model (R 2 = 0.99). MIL-100(Fe) offered an absolute phosphate adsorption performance with a partition co-efficient of 15.98 mg g −1 µM −1 at pH 4 and room temperature conditions.
MOF-74 as an Efficient Catalyst for the Low-Temperature Selective ...
Sep 23, 2016 · M-MOF-74 (M = Mn and Co), especially Mn-MOF-74, showed excellent catalytic performance for low-temperature SCR. In addition, in the reaction process, NO conversion on Mn-MOF-74 decreased with the introduction of H 2 O and SO 2 …

Nov 1, 2022 · The thermal stability of these D x-MOF-808 samples was investigated by thermal gravimetric (TG) analysis. From the TG curves of D x -MOF-808 samples ( Fig. 3 c), the first weight loss (up to 100 °C) is consistent with solvent (methanol) removal from the …
Postsynthesis Annealing of MOF-5 Remarkably Enhances the …
Oct 23, 2014 · By means of a simple and effective method of postsynthesis thermal annealing below its framework decomposition temperature, the annealed MOF-5 shows unexpectedly high CO 2 uptake up to 2 mmol g –1 at 25 °C and 1 bar, which is more than double the capacity of the untreated counterpart (0.8 mmol g –1).

This work provides a simple, safe, convenient, and lower cost strategy for fabricating energetic MOF films that are applicable in NOC technologies, and opens a new field for the application of ...
Investigation of Metal-Organic Framework-5 (MOF-5) as an …
MOF-5-S and MOF-5-D were characterized by FTIR and TG to determine their functional groups, chemical structure and thermal stability. As shown in Figure 4D, the peak shapes and positions in the two spectra are similar, indicating that they have similar functional groups and …

Apr 5, 2019 · Regarding total gravimetric (TG) capacities, Fig. 3b shows that the trio of MOFs examined here outperform the benchmark MOF-5 and IRMOF-20 compounds for pressures exceeding 10 bar.
MOF-5 based mixed-linker metal–organic frameworks: Synthesis, …
Feb 20, 2010 · Based on the well-known metal–organic framework material MOF-5 we developed a new route for the synthesis of highly porous mixed-linker metal–organic frameworks (MIXMOFs) where 5% and 10% of the benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate linkers have been substituted by a functionalized linker, namely 2-aminobenzene-1,4-dicarboxylate.
