The Mk I was the first version of what would become one of the most iconic cars of all time: the Classic Mini. The Mark I was created under the stewardship of the British Motor Corporation, who sold the Mini under Austin and Morris brands.

Introduced in 1963, the Cooper S was the high performance variant for the Mk I Mini. The Cooper S was the most powerful and capable Mini offered at the time, being built with a range of 1071cc, 970cc, and 1275cc inline four engines over the course of production.

The Mini is a small, two-door, four-seat car produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors British Leyland and the Rover Group, from 1959 until 2000. Minus a brief hiatus, Minis were built for four decades over a single generation, as fastbacks, estates, and convertibles.
