This auction is for one surplus MG3 100 round belt box. The box attaches directly to the MG3 feed tray with the quick attach lever, the same way the 50 round black plastic drums attach. They do not work with the lafette ground tripod but they do work with the AA tripod.

The MG3 was developed from the MG1A2 and was also based on the follow-up MG1A3, while also featuring new mirrors for improved anti-aircraft capabilities. The feed system now accepts unprovoked and rotting conveyor belts through an enlarged ejection port and supports a 100-round magazine.

The MG3 fires the 7.62x51mm NATO round from 50 round DM1 continuous belts or M13 or DM6 linked belts, mostly of 120 round length. The cyclic rate of fire is about 1.200 rpm. This results in a high ammunition consumption and rapid overheating.
