Impales a Skeleton on a bone spike to shield your Minions while the spike remains. The shield absorbs all damage from the next Hit each Minion takes, then explodes. The bone spike is itself a Minion, and shields itself. If it dies, shields on your other Minions disappear.

For your own defense, Meat Shield Support is much better, because it has "Minions from Supported Skills have 20% chance to Taunt on Hit". The taunted enemies will then deal 10% less damage to you. The support is much more reliable than "Minions have (6–8)% chance to Taunt on Hit with Attacks" on Abyss Jewels.
